The time has almost come. We're adding the final touches to 'Saxon: Heavy Metal Thunder - The Movie' before sending it for manufacturing. Its been quite a long journey;
maybe we should consider making a 'Making of...'? or maybe not. Anyway Coolhead would like to say thank you, to you, our fellow colleagues and friends. Your support, patience and encouragement in the project have allowed us to give Saxon and the film the justice they deserve.

We've managed to uncover some amazing archive footage, most of which has never been seen before, even by Saxon! This has been as much a journey for them as it will be for you.

Hi all out there in ROCKTOPIA !

Just a quick blog. We have been working on the Heavy Metal Thunder album this week and we've decided to include a short film of download 2008. We feel this was such an important event in our recent career that it has to be included. This means the release to those of you who have pre ordered it there will be a delay for a while. After all it's all about quality not quantity. After seeing all of the DVD last night I think you will love it, so don't blame Coolhead. It's my fault wanting to give you the best documentary that we possibly can.
On another matter we have just finished rehearsing for the tour and we will be playing Requiem We Will Remember in memory of our good friend Mick Cox guitarist for Rose Tattoo who went on to the other side recently.

La version normale que l'on trouvera dans le commerce ne contiendra pas les deux live : St George's Day 2008 et Bremen 1981 concert.

Ce n'est pas simple à expliquer mais paypal me demandant de suite de lier une CB... Bref, pas sécurisant du tout leur machin. Donc, boycott.

Pourtant, c'est l'un des moyens les plus sûrs pour payer sur le net et très pratique pour ebay ...
Cela fait plusieurs années que j'utilise ce moyen et je n'ai jamais eu de problème. Pas comme avec ma carte bancaire : En commandant à la fnac un cd de Joe Perry, je me suis fais arnaquer plus de 600 euros ... Après avoir déposé une plainte auprès de Vomito, la poste m'a remboursé sans problème.

Vomito est facteur?

Mais maintenant, il a changé de service, on l'appelle Horacio
Pour que la banque rembourse (dans mon cas la poste), il faut d'abord une plainte auprès de la gendarmerie.

truc et js64 : Y'a un systéme avec la banque qui permet d'avoir un conte seulement pour 2 / 3 utilisations aprés cela il ce coupe, comme ça pas d'ennui.

J'aime pas leur présentation à paypal. On me demande de suite de lier une carte. J'ai pas de carte. En plus je crois que les coordonnées nom/adresse doivent être les pour l'adresse de livraison et la carte. Et si quelqu'un m'autorise à utiliser sa carte? Non, franchement, je pense qu'ils pourraient largement améliorer leur service, même encore une société qui n'est intéressée que par le profit...

Et puis Saxon, qu'ils prennent exemple sur Marillion, mais là aussi je pense que l'investissement minimaliste est le but recherché...

To all of our Associate Producers,

OK – we realise you were hoping to have the DVD in your hands by now. We were hoping the same. The discs were sent off some time ago to the company in Germany doing the authoring, but there have been a few glitches, and the project has been delayed yet again. It’s nobody’s fault – it’s just one of those unfortunate things.

So now we’ve got a new timeline, which includes contingency allowances.
· The final authoring and testing process will be complete on Friday April 23rd at the latest. By this time the cover and booklet should have been printed.
· The manufacturing process will then take 10 – 14 days (maybe quicker if the artwork manufacturing process has gone smoothly). Assuming 14 working days, the discs should be complete and ready for another round of testing by Thursday 13th May.
· The discs should then arrive back in Britain on Monday May 17th, ready for shipping to the World’s Most Patient Fans. If the contingency is not used, this could be much earlier.
Again, all we can do is offer our sincere apologies for the continued delay. We are very proud of this whole project, and we are sure you will be too.
I know it’s a long wait, but I’m sure you’ll agree, once you watch it, that it will have been worth every minute.

Dear Associate Producers,

The discs have not yet arrived in Britain. The manufacturing company tell us they had to use four days from the middle of the production schedule to ‘install new equipment in the production line.’
Yet another unavoidable delay to add to the other unavoidable delays! I’m sure you’re used to them by now!
They have now promised to deliver them to us on the 20th instead.
Townsend Records, who are distributing the discs, say they will do their utmost to get them all sent out by the close of play on Friday (assuming they arrive on time).
However, the official release date (needed for the charts company) will now be pushed back to the 24th May (although all of you who’ve pre-ordered should have them by then).
Again, sincere apologies to you all, and thanks again for your patience.

Coolhead would also like to express its sadness at the death of Ronnie Dio. He was a massive fan and friend to Saxon, and offered to do an interview for the film just before he was diagnosed with cancer (which unfortunately made it impossible).

Ronnie also asked Coolhead to make a documentary on his life and career, which was then unfortunately postponed until his recovery – a recovery we were all expecting.

Apparemment Coolhead Productions avait prévu de faire un doc sur la vie de Dio ...

DVD DELIVERY LATEST

I've just been in direct contact with the manufacturers of the DVDs in Germany who tell me that they will not now arrive in Britain until June 1st! They tell me the delay is partly due to national holidays in the middle of the production process and the installation of new machinery on the production line, which needed maintenance.
I'm really sorry, guys - I know you've all been waiting for this for ages now: so have I!
One thing I should point out is that these delays happen with almost every DVD production. The difference is that the major labels don't usually announce a release date until the manufacturing is complete and so you don't hear about the delays. Unfortunately we couldn't do that as our only way of financing the film was with preorders. As a result, all of our delays have been very public ones. It's not because we are unprofessional - or Saxon or the manufacturers, for that matter. It's just the way it goes, I'm afraid. All we can do is apologise sincerely.
So.... The discs should now be arriving with you throughout the rest of that week, and the ‘official’ release date will probably be set as June 7th, allowing it to register on the UK charts.
I sincerely hope this is the last ‘delay’ message I have to post, and the next time you hear about the film, it will be as it drops through your letter box.
