A unique and solemn spell seems to shroud every spot as soon as Portuguese alchemists MOONSPELL enters the stage — and it was a very special evening indeed when the band played an exceptional show at the Campo Pequeno arena in their hometown Lisbon on February 4, 2017. That inimitable bond between the gothic metal act and 4,000 of its fans in the sold-out venue is pure electricity, captured for all eternity on the massive live DVD/Blu-ray/3CD package "Lisboa Under The Spell", which will be released on August 17 via Napalm Records.

Commented the band on the release: "We are thrilled to announce the release of our brand new live DVD/Blu-ray/3CD live album, entitled 'Lisboa Under The Spell'! It was recorded live on our breathtaking capitol city of Lisbon and it's nothing short of an epic trek of more than three action-packed hours! It was definitely time, since MOONSPELL aficionados have been thirsting for a new live release ever since "Lusitanian Metal" (2008)! Thus, "Lisboa Under The Spell" is not simply a visual testimony to the success of Portugal's biggest metal band — it is a celebration of the unbound creativity and pure magic that is MOONSPELL.

Le groupe de Metal portugais Moonspell sortira un nouvel album live, intitulé From Down Below – Live 80 Meters Deep, le 23 septembre via Napalm Records.

Le groupe y jouera l’intégralité de son album Hermitage, sorti en 2021, dans le cadre unique des Grutas de Mira De Aire à Mira de Aire, au Portugal. Ces grottes ont été repérées en 1947 et sont devenues une attraction touristique depuis lors.

Cette performance a été capturée le 7 mai 2021 par Guilherme Henrique, et sera publiée en format Blu-ray et DVD. Les précommandes sont disponibles ici.

Fernando Ribeiro, chanteur de Moonspell, a déclaré : “Pendant que le monde agonisait à la maison, nous sommes allés au plus profond, dans une grotte, pour enregistrer un DVD avec certains de nos fans les plus courageux. Entitlement est l’avant-goût d’un show irréel, une performance comme vous n’en avez jamais vu, dans la paix et le calme d’une galerie naturelle humide et sombre. Du plus profond des profondeurs, notre nouvel album live/DVD est quelque chose de jamais fait auparavant et nous espérons qu’il vous divertira ‘sombrement’ jusqu’à la sortie de notre prochain album en 2023.”
