Hell

Cité comme une grande influence indirect et comme un des premiers groupes de metal occulte, Hell se forme en 1982 des cendres des groupes anglais RACE AGAINST TIME et PARALEX. Hell va tourner intensivement sans pouvoir toutefois sortir un album. Alors que le groupe décroche un contrat avec Mausoleum, Ce dernier fait faillite peu de temps après. Le chanteur/guitariste Dave Halliday se suicide un an plus tard, en 1987. Le groupe splitte. Mais en 2008 le trio survivant d'origine, Kev Bower, Tony Speakman et Tim Bowler relance la machine avec l'aide d'Andy Sneap (Sabbat et producteur du dernier Accept "
Blood Of The Nations"
) et un nouveau chanteur, David Bower.

Le chant n'est pas top. Celà dit, c'est typiquement NWOBHM.
Pour moi, ça ne vaut pas la bonne note de Rock Hard.

Je pense que celui là va être dans ma prochaine commande.

Je l'ai écouté à plusieurs reprises vendredi dernier. Franchement c'est du tout bon. Ce n'est pas un album immédiat, il faut plusieurs écoutes pour l’apprécier. Et le chant est un peu "
particulier"
, vraiment habité ce chanteur.
Bref je le recommande chaudement. De plus l'emballage est très soigné ( j'ai pris la version digipack 2 CDs, album + les démos de l'époque).

J'ai eu l'occasion de l'écouter aussi dans la voiture du boss en allant (et en revenant) du concert de KILLERS et ça m'a l'ai r très très bon ! m009

Je trouve un peu dommage le côté maquillage qui ne colle pas trop au style..

Je n'ai aussi écouté qu'une chanson de cet album, mais j'aime beaucoup ...
J'espère pouvoir le télécharger ou l'acheter (encore mieux) bientôt !

Hell va donner un concert très spécial avec tout plein d'effets le 23 février prochain, il interprétera des nouveaux titres extraits du nouvel album à paraitre très prochainement.
Le concert sera filmé pour un futur DVD...

Metal Shock Finland‘s Blackdiamond caught up with drummer Tim Bowler and guitarist Andy Sneap after their spectacular show on the Ronnie James Dio stage. You can read a few excerpts from the conversation and check out the interview either on the audio player or video below (the video has a little missing from the beginning):

When asked about the new HELL album being recorded, Andy stated:

“We’ve got seven songs recorded so far. I start on Monday with Dave doing vocals on those. There’s a couple of songs we’ve still got to sort out arrangements. There are four or five older songs that we’ve revamped from the ’80′
s and the rest is all new stuff.”

Tim added:

“There’s some really good new stuff, it’s really exciting. It’s a darker album than we’ve done before. It’s more interesting, I think it’s just moved on.“

Andy went on to talk about the album release:

“The label are working towards November 4th. I think the album will be with them by the end of August, beginning of September. The tour [Defenders Of The Faith] starts November 6th, so the whole point is to try and get it out for that tour.”

Reçu le digipack (CD+DVD), il est absolument magnifique...
Le coffret se déplit en 9 parties pour former un ouija d'un côté et de l'autre une photo du groupe...
Il y a également deux très beaux livrets (un pour illustrer le CD, l'autre pour le DVD).
Je n'ose même pas imaginer la gueule du double vinyle que je n'ai pas encore reçu.
Cela fait plaisir de voir un groupe qui soigne autant la présentation de ces produits, le premier album était déjà très réussi mais là...
