Michael Schenker n'est pas du tout content avec les "notes explicatives" des nouvelles rééditions. Notamment celle de "Lovdrive" qui passe mal...

MICHAEL SCHENKER Slams SCORPIONS For 'Completely Distorting' His Involvement With Band

"In a brand new interview with Gigs And Festivals, legendary German guitarist Michael Schenker spoke about what it was like playing in the earliest days of the SCORPIONS alongside his brother Rudolf. He said: "There are things that I know today, and I must say I'm actually very disappointed in my brother and the SCORPIONS these days, because I just found out that a lot of things have been incorrect in the past. Me, being seven years younger than the other guys, I think I was taken advantage of right from the beginning."

He continued: "I wrote most of the SCORPIONS songs on the 'Lonesome Crow' album, and it was credited to all members. The very first song I ever wrote was 'In Search Of The Peace Of Mind', and it too was credited to all members. I was focusing on music, and they were maybe focusing on business. I have no idea, but they didn't know how to write songs in those days."

Asked if he has any plans to get up on stage with the SCORPIONS before they call it a day, Michael said: "I don't pay attention to any of that. I focus on what I'm doing. I'm fed up with that, and I'm disappointed in them; they have completely distorted the 'Lovedrive' phase. Just a few weeks ago, I was confronted with the SCORPIONS [albums reissue] box, and what I saw there, it really, really shocked me. I can't trust them anymore. The whole 'Lovedrive' story is wrong. They are putting it down as if I begged them to take me into the SCORPIONS. They begged me to join — I was already doing arena tours with UFO in the States. It's unbelievable. They asked me to help them, and now I see that the whole 'Lovedrive' story is written to their favor; they are the big guys."

He continued: "I can't believe it, honestly. They're just fooling people with their finishing playing, and then they don't, and then [they continue playing] forever and ever. I guess when you get older, you get bolder or something, but I have absolutely no interest because I can't trust them. If I look back now, it's unbelievable, little bits and pieces I'm discovering. So putting together the whole picture, it looks like they're absolutely desperate."

According to Michael, the difference between him and his brother is that "one can play and the other one can't! [Laughs] That's how you can find out who is who. Or you look at the eyes; his eyes are brown, but he can fake that too by getting blue lenses. Rudolf is the entertainer on a visual level; I'm the artist."

Je me concentrais sur la musique, et ils étaient peut-être concentrés sur les affaires. Je ne sais pas, mais ils ne savaient pas comment écrire des chansons en ce temps là. "

Interrogé pour savoir si il y a des possibilités pour monter sur scène avec les SCORPIONS un jour, Michael a dit: «Je ne fais pas attention à tout cela, je me concentre sur ce que je fais, j'en ai marre de tout cela, et je suis déçu par eux, ils ont complètement déformé la phase autour de Lovedrive . Il y a quelques semaines, je fus confronté avec la réédition de l'album et là, vraiment, j'ai été vraiment choqué. Moi, je ne peux plus leur faire confiance. L'histoire sur 'Lovedrive' est erronée Ils minimisent mon rôle, comme si je les avais supplié de me prendre dans les SCORPIONS alors que c'était le contraire -... Je faisais déjà les tournées des stades avec UFO . C'est incroyable Ils m'ont demandé de les aider, et maintenant je vois que l'histoire sur 'Lovedrive » est écrite à leur avantage ..."

Il a poursuivi:.. "Je ne peux pas le croire, honnêtement Ils trompent les gens à dire qu'ils arrêtent, puis ils continuent. Je ne peux plus leur faire confiance. Si je regarde en arrière maintenant, c'est incroyable, les détails à problème s'accumulent. Donc, mis bout à bout, c'est absolument désespérant. "

Selon Michael, la différence entre lui et son frère est que "l'un peut jouer et l'autre pas [Rires] Voilà comment vous pouvez savoir qui est qui ! Ou bien vous regardez les yeux !. Ses yeux sont bruns, mais il triche avec des lentilles bleues. Rudolf est l'artiste sur le plan visuel ... Je suis l'artiste !"

J'ai bien fait de ne pas l'avoir acheté... le 11 mars prochain sortira une nouvelle édition de l'album “Return To Forever” avec en bonus deux DVDs. Du coup là, je ne vais pas faire l'impasse

A part les solos de m*rde, j'aimais bien le Kottak... Un bucheron qui a permis aux Scorps de refaire surface (avec notamment  Unbreakable en 2004)...
Maintenant qu'il est libre... peut être que l'on verra un jour le line up original de Kingdom Come se reformer... mais je n'y crois pas trop

Le concert de Melbourne d'hier a du être annulé après que les médecins aient conseillé à Klaus Meine de reposer sa voix. Le prochain concert, si tout va bien, aura lieu le 10 novembre à Sydney.
Le groupe est en plein milieu d'une tournée australienne où il assure la première partie de Def Leppard

on va voir si Hughes en fait de meme !?
